Let's Give Cancer The Boot! Fashion Show Poster Here
Tuesday, July 8, 2 pm, Osprey Arts Centre

Many of the fashions that will be featured in the show, including everything from comfy jeans to glitzy little numbers, will be provided and modelled by cancer survivors.  Adivas Place, a recent addition to the Shelburne retail landscape, will also provide some of the latest fashions from its boutique.  Anyone with a favourite special dress or outfit is invited to model it at the show in memory of a loved one.  If a dress is not available, a prize donation in memory of someone who lost their battle with cancer or to celebrate someone who is now cancer free is welcome.
There is no admission charge, but donations will be gratefully accepted at the door with all proceeds going to the Yarmouth Hospital Oncology Unit and the Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund.  Yarmouth Hospital fundraisers will also be at the show selling raffle tickets on a hooked floor mat with a striking fish design that is valued at $1,000.  The Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund is a local program that provides financial assistance to cancer patients and their families in the Municipality of Barrington and Cape Sable Island.

For additional information on the fashion show or to participate, please contact Rita Jenkins at 637-2950.
